Programmes directly supported by the Foundation include:

Health Camp

The Foundation initiated the setting up of a health clinic at Anjani & Nayak hospital, Siddhpur, Gujarat, where 156 patients were examined by a general physician. Based on the needs of each patient, people were referred for various services such as having a blood test, x-ray, sonography or mammography.

The Health Camp provided three physicians, three gynaecologists and one surgeon to the local community, with the treatment, consultations and medicines free of charge to people.

Vocational Skills Development Programme

The Foundation provided support to secondary and high secondary schools run by Yoganjali Kelvani Mandal (YKM) in the district of Siddhpur in the state of Gujarat. 462 students took part in a skills-based development programme designed to introduce both boys and girls to different trades with vocational training that integrates academic study with a wide range of courses.

We provided tailoring, beauty, plumbing and electrician training to community youth and women for six months, with many finding employment.

Covid-19 safety kit distribution

During the Covid-19 crisis, we provided hygiene kits to some of the most vulnerable people in the urban slums of Gurgaon, New Delhi, and Bokaro in Jharkhand, India. The kits were also distributed among sugarcane workers of Vansda in Gujarat and in villages in Siddhpur in Gujarat.

The health kits were distributed to a total of 700 families – people that could not afford to buy face masks or safety kits due to loss of employment during lockdown. The intervention also focused on creating awareness about the importance of wearing masks.

Scholarships for students who lost their parents to Covid-19

Working with Yoganjali Kelavani Mandal in Siddhpur, we are providing scholarships to 15 students over a three-year period. The Rs.2500 per year support will help the students that have lost their mother, father or both due to the pandemic, to purchase books, stationery and uniforms for school.
